The Ghana Agriculture Sector Investment Program organised a two-day residential capacity building workshop for smallholder farmers, agribusinesses and the media on Climate change resilience measures in three regions, North East, Upper East, and Upper West Regions of Ghana at Premier Lodge Hotel in Bolgatanga.

The program is on the theme “Building Champions in Agribusiness Value Chains for climate Change Resilience”
Participants were drawn from Agribusinesses, Farmers, the media and other stakeholders from the three regions. Participants will be taken through climate change issues and climate change adaptation strategies.

Resource persons exposed stakeholders to the state of climate change in Ghana and how farmers and their farming activities have contributed to climate change.

The training also equipped farmers and the media with adequate knowledge on the effects of climate change on farmers and the environment. The various strategies on climate change resilience were also discussed to help farmers adopt best strategies to cope with the effects of climate change.
